Who Tribelt is

Tribelt B.V. is a Dutch manufacturer of metal conveyor belts and drives, located at Metaalstraat 9 in Haaksbergen, the Netherlands. The company puts cooperation, a hands-on attitude and practical solutions at the centre of its work. It aims to give customers personal, honest and realistic advice and sees itself as a partner in conveyor belts and drives rather than only a producer.

Everything from design to finished belt happens in-house, carried out by a team of engineers, sales staff and machine operators. Because its machine park for metal conveyor belts ranks among the largest in the country, Tribelt can respond quickly to changing customer needs, whether that is a transport problem on an existing line or a new project.

How Tribelt works

Tribelt started as a belt manufacturer and has grown into a specialist that understands the technical and functional side of complete conveyor systems. Its engineers advise on design, strength calculations, drives and technical improvements. All products are made in Tribelt's own factory in the Netherlands, and because design, production and assembly share one site, lead times stay short.

Quality checks run throughout production, so customers get consistent products that perform reliably in practice. The integrated approach means one partner is responsible from the first question to the finished belt.

Quality

Quality comes first at Tribelt, supported by continuous investment in knowledge and experience. Production processes are laid down in a quality management system certified to ISO 9001. Tests and inspections keep product quality consistent, and the results can be documented in reports on request.

History

• 1948: De Spiraal is founded. Just after the Second World War, two employees of the engineering firm Stork noticed a shortage of suppliers of wire parts and industrial springs. They started Verenfabriek De Spiraal in a small shed beside one of their homes in Hengelo.
• 1968: a real factory. De Spiraal moved into its own production hall at Industriestraat 225 in Hengelo, on the Twentekanaal-Noord industrial estate, and became a well-known regional supplier of springs and wire forms.
• 2000: a larger site. Growth and new CNC machines made the old building too small, so De Spiraal moved to a new building at Spinelstraat 55 on the Twentekanaal-Zuid estate, allowing a big expansion of the machine park and more automation.
• 2002: Tribelt is founded. In the same building, sister company Tribelt BV was set up by Willy Sticker, René Spoelder and René Frielink, the last of whom brought experience in metal conveyor belts. Three founders explain the name: Tri-belt. The company quickly made its mark as an innovator in this niche.
• 2015: move to Haaksbergen. Continued growth led both companies to Metaalstraat 9 in Haaksbergen, with 9,000 m² of production space, 2,000 m² of storage and 1,000 m² of offices. De Spiraal had become the Dutch market leader, while Tribelt grew strongly abroad.
• 2019: Lesjöfors Group. De Spiraal and Tribelt were acquired by Lesjöfors, a Scandinavian leader in springs and wire products, joining a worldwide network of more than 40 sister companies.
• Today: both companies work from their office in Haaksbergen. As members of the Lesjöfors Group they share knowledge and technology internationally, while still focusing on custom springs, wire forms and metal conveyor belts.
