## Technology for young pupils

De Spiraal and Tribelt took part in the project "Techniek moet je doen" ("technology is something you do") at Los Hoes primary school in Haaksbergen. The theme day put technology at the centre and showed pupils, in a playful way, the world behind the products they use every day.

Colleague Munah told the children what De Spiraal and Tribelt do, why they do it and how springs and metal conveyor belts play a part in daily life. From the springs in a trampoline to the belt that carries bread or vegetables through a factory, these products are all around us.

## Curious and engaged

The pupils were curious and enthusiastic, asked sharp questions and proudly shared their own ideas about technology and their future. At the end, each child received a small gift: a phone stand shaped like an elephant made in-house, a colouring page and coloured pencils as a reminder of the morning.

The companies thanked Los Hoes for the invitation and wished the pupils good luck with their project. Perhaps some of them will one day join as technical colleagues.
